Sharon Telephone Company is proud to support our area schools in many ways. Since college is so expensive, we’ve offered some options for possible scholarships.
The following links will provide more information regarding scholarship opportunities available to our customers through our great partners, Aureon and NTCA. We encourage you to apply or pass the opportunity on to others who may be interested in attending college.
Through a partnership with Foundation for Rural Service, Sharon Telephone is pleased to announce the 2022 FRS scholarships. All applicants require sponsorship by an NTCA – The Rural Broadband Association member company to be eligible. STC qualifies as a member company. Application deadline is February 8, 2023.
Also available to Sharon Telephone customers is The Aureon Scholarship Program for students pursuing a STEM-related course of study after high school graduation and residing in a home with service from an Iowa Independent Telecommunications Company (ITC). STC qualifies as an ITC. Application deadline is March 1, 2023.
