The STC crew helped welcome our Hills Elementary and Highland Schools teams back to school with ice cream from Moo Moo’s Ice Cream Truck. We wish all students and educators a fabulous school year!
The Hills community came together to support Hills Elementary School through the Back-to-School Supply Drive in August 2023. More items were donated that the prior year to support students and their families.
STC hosted a ribbon cutting in rural Riverside August 7th to celebrate the completion of our USDA Community Connect Grant project – the first of its kind awarded in the state of Iowa. We appreciate all who provided letters of support to secure the grant funding, which provided access to fiber-optic broadband services to over 120 rural homes. Special thanks to our amazing hosts for this special event!
Members of our team celebrated TrekFest and the 4th of July by participating in parades in Riverside and Hills. We appreciate the opportunity to connect with our communities in this fun way!
We had a fabulous turnout for our Music in the Park and grill out event we co-sponsored this summer at City Park in Hills. Special thanks to the Johnson County Pork Producers for helping us grill. We look forward to more events like this in the future.
STC was proud to celebrate our Hills Elementary 6th grade graduates at the end of the school year by providing custom lightning bolt cookies for each student. We know our Hills Lightning Bolt grads will do great things in the coming years!
Our STC team had fun celebrating our area educators in May during National Teacher Appreciation Week. Sweet treats were delivered to schools within our exchange, including Hills Elementary, Hillcrest Academy, and Highland Elementary, Middle School and High School. Thanks to our local educators for everything they do!
STC was happy to team up with our partner, Aureon, to provide a matching Ripple Effect Grant to the City of Hills for their bike service station at bike rack project. We can’t wait until the new equipment is installed at Hills City Park!
We love having a reason to celebrate, and March Mania is just the time to break up those winter blues by following the basketball tournament. Throughout March, customers are encouraged to enter a simple drawing for two prize baskets. The drawing is conducted after the championship game is complete. Join the fun in 2024!
STC partnered with other Hills area businesses to sponsor a food drive in February to support the St Josephs Church Food Pantry. The community came together to make the effort a huge success!
Our team decided to have a little fun again this holiday season. Check out our cartoon-inspired window art completed by a local artist. It’s definitely put us in the holiday spirit!
Throughout November and the first part of December, the community hosted a hat, mitten and glove drive to support Hills Elementary. We are thankful for the many items donated to support local families this winter!
STC, along with our partner Aureon, was pleased to present checks to Friends of Sharon High School and Community Center for their revitalization efforts in Sharon Center. Funds will be used to help with planning and engineering costs. Fun fact: STC started in Sharon Center in the early 1900s!
Through our partnership with Aureon, STC was able to help provide funding to the City of Hills for their door project at the Community Center in 2022. We appreciate being involved in projects which benefit our communities.
We had fun decorating our Dr Seuss themed tree to support the Hills Town & Country organization. What a great event!
